“Room” Service

Kitchen

The busiest room in the house! Whether passing through to grab a snack, a cup of coffee, or staying a while to unload groceries, meal prep, and cook; often, there are times multiple people are in the kitchen at once. Let’s create some flow and make some room to hang out!

-Pantry/food storage

-Drawer/cabinet organization

-Frig/freezer organization

-Countertop organizing

Living/ Family Room

Let's take a moment and think about the atmosphere you want to create in this room. A space for hanging out with family and friends. I think of words like comfort, inviting, easy, cozy yet spacious, cool, and warm at the same time! How do we get all of this in a room? I like to help bring out your personal style while keeping it streamlined and efficient all at once.

Laundry

Create an inviting vibe in your laundry room/space with organizing products and aesthetically pleasing treatments for your area. Make your time here not such a chore!

Porch/ Patio

Think of these spaces as an extension of the inside of your home. A bit of TLC to the door, porch, and surrounding area will do wonders for the feel you get and expect before entering your home. This is a great place to display the natural beauty of the season through the use of plants and outdoor furniture/ accessories.

Bathroom

Let's streamline these cabinets and drawers with the things you actually need and use. The right organizing products will do wonders for your prep time and “spa” time in this space.

Office

Create specific zones for your individual tasks! Utilizing organizing products specific to your task will enhance your time at work…or play.

Entryway

Whether your entryway is large and spacious, or just a few steps inside your door, give it an inviting impact! There are some standard pieces that help to make the most of this area function to full capacity…beautifully.

Collections

I do love a good collection! Who hasn’t collected something that you had a connection to or that expressed your “inner you” at a specific time of your life? When I was little, I collected tiny toy mice dressed in different little outfits. One of the places I bought these was from a toy store called Jeffery’s, in Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco. My family would go to the city a few times a year and I looked forward to picking out a new mouse for my collection. Later, in my teens I collected Vogue magazines, then in adulthood, I have a collection of special tea cups with sentimental connections from people in my life or vintage shopping excursions.

Whatever you have, is it worth being on display? Is it time to pass it on to someone you know (or the donation store)? Some collections are for a season of our lives and some we choose to keep. Whichever you decide, SLH can help to make the best storage and display choices for your precious collection.

Bedroom

This is the space that tends to have the greatest impact on us personally. It usually makes a 180 in the “before and after” organizing process. Because we make such personal connections to our clothes, we often have a difficult time editing pieces for various reasons. In an editing process, asking yourself specific questions to help the process along, will bring a streamlined result in your closet and in your daily routine.

Closets

A miscellaneous closet will contain a variety of random things. Using organizational products with labels will make a great impact in containment, locating what you need, and making it visually pleasing. Let’s create a customized closet for the things you value. Let this space be one you want to peak in because it’s so wonderful!

Garage

These areas range greatly from household to household depending upon the nature of its dedicated use and the size of the family. Some park a car or two and use a workbench, outdoor equipment, sporting goods, and extra storage space. Others have hobby stations set up, no cars, lots of storage, and laundry spaces. Others even turn this space into an extra room for fitness, gaming, or an office. Regardless of the vision for your room, it all starts with the same process: one space at a time, and doing a heartfelt edit! With the help of SLH organizers, you’ll end up with a beautiful and efficiently organized vision coming to life.

Hobbies

Hobbies are wonderful! I think everyone has hobbies. I hope everyone has hobbies!

hobby- an activity done regularly in one's leisure time for pleasure.

Some of the hobbies that have run through our house are remote control car and boat racing, jewelry making, fashion illustration and sewing, painting, model making, video gaming, cycling, soccer, and baseball to name a few. Sometimes hobbies can turn into careers; as did some of ours.

What are the hobbies in your household? Where do you keep the equipment and supplies for these hobbies? SLH can help you carve out a spot or area to keep your things together and at easy access so you can enjoy your down time.
